Projects

Some of the many Projects that we have completed last few years

Dean Academy

Wydean School

Formally known as Whitecross School, we have been involved in many projects for this school over the last number of years. All of us at Apollo enjoy working for our old school and this project was no different!  The old sport’s floor in the gym had taken a hammering since it was first built. We supplied and installed a Gerflor product called Taraflex. This has made a splendid improvement to the facilities on offer at Dean Academy and is a durable and long lasting floor covering.

We were delighted to be asked to install a sprung sports floor from instafloor, along with a vinyl wood finish sports floor constructed from Geflor.  The flooring comprised of wooden battens, supported in rubber cradles with a plywood base; this was finished with 7mm sports m plus, from gerflor. The floor makes a spectacular addition to Wyedean School’s sports hall.

Dean Forest Railway

Dean forest railway in the Forest of Dean is a fantastic attraction on our doorstep; they asked us if we could provide new flooring and hygienic wall cladding to their new kitchen at the station.
The flooring we provided was a slip resistant vinyl, coupled with white PVC  wall cladding with thermoformed corners, in order to provide a surface that is  easy to clean and resistant to most chemicals.

NHS Collection

Over the years there have been many changes within the NHS, and the flooring industry has had to keep up with these changes, whether it is replacing old worn out flooring, or down to running repairs.  Hospitals are a twenty-four-seven environment, which makes the task of fitting flooring extremely challenging as there is never a free time! Apollo, have been approved contractors for the NHS for over ten years and we pride ourselves on our flexibility and commitment in order to providing this service of installing high quality flooring in a demanding and challenging environment.
